MERCED, Calif.– The Multnomah University women’s basketball team battled in their first road trip of the season, falling just short to UC Merced 67-62 on Friday evening.

Merced pulled away from MU in the fourth, scoring 10 straight points to hold on to the lead.

Three Lions registered double digits in points as Sequoia Wheeler shot 4-of-7 from three for 16 points. Milan Woods added 13 points while Campbell finished with 11 points.

Paris Sanders finished with a team-high seven rebounds and Kayla Alvarez dished out four assists.
