Will We Ever See Another Muggsy Bogues? (HIGHLIGHTS)

In some ways I think Muggsy Bogues is the most incredible NBA story ever. He wasn’t just an NBA player, but a quite good NBA player with a career that lasted 14 seasons. He twice averaged over 10 assists/game and is 21st all time in total assists (6726) and 20th in career ast average (7.6)

93-94 was arguably his best year: 10.8 pts, 10.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 47% FG.

There will never be another Muggsy

These numbers may not seem that amazing, but then you remember; he was 5’3″. People talk about IT being a “midget” but he’s actually just an average height man playing a game reserved for giants. Muggsy Bogues was a legitimately short dude, not just for the NBA but for anyone. 5’3″ and he was a starter in the NBA. It’s amazing.

Could we ever see another Muggsy Bogues or would teams just not even give a guy like him a chance today?
