Bronson Koenig (Ho-Chunk) came off the bench and led the team with 20 points

Austin, Texas  — The Austin Spurs (17-12) defeated the Grand Rapids Drive (14-17) by a final score 104-93 at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Saturday night. Austin hosted a crowd of over 5,000.

Player of the game Olivier Hanlan paced the Spurs off the bench with 19 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3FG, 2-2 FT) and four assists. Darrun Hilliard contributed 16 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Austin started the game on a 16-5 run and forced the Drive to shoot only 29 percent from the floor in the first quarter. The Drive fought back by going on a 24-12 run during the second quarter, but Austin was able to maintain a double-digit lead at halftime (49-39). In the second half Grand Rapids went on a 15-2 run to take the lead with 3:34 left in the third quarter. Austin regained the lead at 9:55 in the final frame behind an 18-6 run that included the team shooting a perfect 7-for-7 from the floor. The Spurs closed the game out on a 12-3 run to win.

For the Drive, Bronson Koenig came off the bench and led the team with 20 points and 3 rebounds in 27 minutes, while Landry Nnoko contributed with 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists in 36 minutes.
