HS Basketball Recap: RaeQuan Williams-Battle

img_3918The Tomahawks (1-0) took home a win 69-55 over Sehome HS. Sophomore Guard RaeQuan Williams-Battle (Tulalip Tribes) led the way with 24 points in a win over Sehome High School.

RaeQuan Williams-Battle looked poised beyond his years during their opening game. Took great shots and never played in a hurry. In addition to his highlight reel plays, Battle was changing & deflecting shots down low. Which included a chase down pin against the backboard that was reminiscent of a Lebron James block.

Williams-Battle had a couple jaw dropping dunks that sent the crowd in a frenzy. Not to often do you leave the gym feeling like you left the “SHOW” but that is what RaeQuan put on for the crowd.

Williams-Battle, 6-foot-5, Guard for Marysville Pilchuck, is considered to be one of the best high school players in the state. Tulalip Tribal member grew up on the Tulalip reservation just outside of Marysville.

The support he receives from his family, friends, & peers will take this young man a long way. Big time player & wishing him the best!
