RayQuan Evans (Crow Tribe) tossed in 16 in loss to Yaks

Coeur d’Alene, ID. – The Cardinals 7-game winning streak ended Saturday afternoon in a 83-77 loss at Yakima Valley Community College. NIC could not buy a bucket from beyond the arc, shooting just 14% (3-21) in the NWAC opener. Three Cards scored in double-figures.  Sophomore Tyler Brimhall led the way with 17 points, freshman RayQuan Evans (Crow Tribe) tossed in 16 while freshman Jared Greene added 13. The #5 ranked Cards drop to 10-4 overall, 0-1 NWAC.

“We just couldn’t get anything going,” said Head Coach Corey Symons. “We’ll get back at it and prepare for our home-opener.

The Cardinals host Columbia Basin College on Wednesday night at 8:00pm, following the women’s game at 6:00pm. If you can’t make to the game, we’ll have all the action live on our YouTube channel at nicathletics.com.
