Player Spotlight: Nate Seelye scored career-high 45 points and surpassed the 1,000-point mark

Grand Rapids’ Nate Seelye is pictured with Thunderhawks coach Dan Elhard after surpassing the 1,000-point mark in a 76-60 win over Bemidji

Today’s Player Spotlight goes to Senior guard Nate Seelye (Leech Lake Tribe) who poured in a career-high 45 points for Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids downed Hermantown 78-64, in a high school boys basketball game Tuesday night.

Nate Seelye’s career-high 45 points comes just weeks after breaking his previous season high of 39 points when Seelye surpassed the 1,000-point mark.

We had this to say about him last July:
“Nate Seelye c/o 2018 (Leech Lake Tribe) will be one to keep your eyes on. Stands about 6’3″-6’4″ and does a little bit of everything on the court.”

Bigger guard at 6’4″ and will play collegiate basketball as some level. Reminds me of a late bloomer, a kid that always had game but finally sprouted up. Flying under the radar he should be receiving for recognition. Go check him out when you get the chance. You wont be disappointed.
