Hot Second Half Propels Whatcom to 93-85 Win Over Bellevue College

BELLINGHAM, WA – Whatcom Orcas men’s basketball came back from a 6 point halftime deficit to defeat Bellevue College at home 93-85 at SRC Pavilion yesterday night.

Trazil Lane was the lone bright spot for the Orcas in the first-half scoring 12 points along with three rebounds and three steals. The Orcas had back and forth action throughout the first half, with Bulldogs taking a 6 point half-time lead. 

The sophomore Lane led a balanced scoring attack for Whatcom Wednesday night with 23 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals. He was 9-for-18 from the field.

Whatcom is now 1-1 in league (7-7 overall) while Bellevue College falls to 1-1 in league (10-5 overall). The Orcas next action is Saturday January 19 at Whatcom. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
