HIBBING – The Hibbing Community College women’s basketball team wanted redemption Saturday afternoon and it got it in a big way.
The Lady Cardinals had lost to Rainy River Community College back in December for its first conference loss of the season. However, days later the win was forfeited to Hibbing when it was learned that the Voyageurs had used ineligible players in the victory.
Still, despite it being a win, it left a bad taste in the mouths of the Cardinal players because they knew they had lost the game on the court.
Hibbing would trounce Rainy River the second time around 101-75 at home behind a big performance out of Bethany Baldwin and Alexis Desjarlait.
Bethany Baldwin would lead the way with a double-double 25 points and 10 rebounds. She would also dish out 4 assists. She’s averaging 19 points, seven rebounds, and three assists through 20 games this season. Desjarlait would add 19 points and seven rebounds.
