One of the prospects from the 2019 class, Christopher Whitford has signed his letter of intent to basketball for Pierce College in Tacoma, WA. At 6’4″ Whitford can play and guard multiple positions, giving the Raiders a viable option for 2019-20 season.

Chris will bring the Raiders a high energy player that will play his role. Great rebounder on both ends, scrappy and plays hard. He attended our All-Star Game and earned the All-Star award for the second straight year. Came out of the gate scoring the first four basketball in a variety of ways. He displayed a great pull-up jumper, finishes in traffic, and deep range on his shot.

Chris didn’t have the impact he expected after making the move to local power Lincoln High School in Tacoma, WA but he contributed where he could. Before Lincoln, he attended Chief Leschi in Puyallup, where he averaged a double-double and earned all-league honors for the Warriors. He helped Leschi to their first state appearance in many years. He’s a proven player that needs an opportunity to show what he can do.
