In his first season with the North Idaho College men’s basketball team, 6-foot-4 freshman guard Emmit Taylor III was the 6th man on the NWAC Championship team averaging 13.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.
The former Lapwai standout set two school records in December when he scored 46 points and connected on 12 3-pointers in a 135-70 blowout of Fairchild Air Force Base. Taylor III also added 22 off the bench on 6-of-13 from deep in the Elite 8 at the NWAC Championships.
He averaged 26 points per game at Lapwai High School, and took home 1AD1 All-State, 1AD1 Player of the Year, while leading Lapwai to the 1AD1 State Championship.
Emmit ultimate goal is to transfer to a Division 1 College to finish his basketball career and graduate. Look forward to watching him tackle his goal.
