Everett, WA – High School boys group was well represented with talented Native hoopers from around the Country.  The boys game was highlighted with fast-paced action from start to finish. While there were many good players that participated, the top 5 were considered because they separated themselves from the pack.

The top 5 –

Quinn Atazhoon – 2020 – Gallup, NM – 6’4″ PG – Swiss army knife. He displayed an all-around game, taking the All-Star MVP back to New Mexico. Will definitely play and contribute at a high level in college.

Jesse Chase – 2019 – Mandaree, ND – 6’2″ G – Can flat out shoot the ball. He can get to the basket and score with either hand through contact. Won the 3-point shootout. High basketball IQ. Jesse signed to play at Bismarck State College.

C.J. Hudson – 2019 – Metlakatla, AK – 6’5″ F – Physically strong and skilled for his position. Has a great 15-foot jumpshot. Rebounds the ball well. C.J. is signed to play at Pierce College in Tacoma, WA.

Christopher Whitford – 2019 – Tacoma, WA – 6’4″ G – Whitford has a killer midrange jumper that he uses wisely as opposed to driving the ball into heavy traffic. He scored the first baskets in the All-Star game. Chris is signed to play with Pierce College.

Sequoyah Julius – 2019 – Ferndale, WA – 6’0″ G – Could shoot the three ball and hit the midrange jumper. Did a great job beating his man off the bounce. Three sport athlete will continue playing basketball and golf in California

Best of the Rest –

Troy Yazzie – 2019 – Flagstaff, AZ – 6’3″ PG – Gets low with the ball and looks to pass first. He’s able to slash and drive. Good sized guard with a great looking shot. Averaged over 20 points at the high school level.

Ashton Grady – 2019 – Mandaree, ND – 6’1″ G – One of the more accomplished players at the event. He has nice handles and does a great job of creating for himself and others. Signed with Bismarck State College
