Brothers become Rivals on the Court

Brothers and former Lapwai standouts Tommy and Ivory Miles-Williams found themselves on opposites sides of the court, in different uniforms, cheering for different teams this season. Senior forward Tommy, a two-year transfer from United Tribes plays at Eastern Oregon. While brother Ivory, junior guard, plays at The College of Idaho.

The brothers didn’t get to match-up this season due to injuries, but they will have another oppertunity in the NAIA CCC (Cascade Collegiate Conference) next season. It’s not often we see siblings compete against eachother at the collegiate level.

Ivory Miles-Williams of Lapwai helped the College of Idaho to the Final Four in the NAIA Division II national tournament. Miles-Williams, a 6-3 junior guard, scored 4.8 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.

The 6-foot-4 senior forward Tommy Miles-Williams played basketball this season for the Eastern Oregon men’s team of the NAIA Division II level. Miles-Williams, a United Tribes transfer, averaged 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds.
