College Hoops: David Wingett Jr. makes Debut for Jackrabbits

South Dakota State defeated Mount Marty in exhibition play Wednesday night at Frost Arena, 98-70.

6-foot-7 guard David Wingett Jr., from Winnebago, full package was on display against Mount Marty in exhibition play. Wingett threw down the dunk of the night, played great D, ran the floor, made some nice passes and pulled down some boards.

Wingett finished the night with 7 points and 6 rebounds and made a lasting impression in his first game in a Jackrabbit uniform.

“I’m just really happy with how we bounced back after a slow start,” head coach Eric Henderson said. “We were able to see multiple lineups and see how a number of guys can affect the game for us. It was a great learning experience for all of our guys to get out on the court in front of our special fans, and that’s probably the most enjoyable thing about tonight.”
