Trevon Allen would Struggle as Idaho falls to Lumberjacks

MOSCOW, ID – Northern Arizona used 10 three-pointers and a 45-35 rebounding advantage to claim an 86-73 win Saturday, against Idaho at the Cowan Spectrum. The Lumberjacks (7-13, 5-5 Big Sky) led by seven at halftime and ripped off a 12-0 run early in the second half to take control of the game.

Trevon Allen was held to six points of 2-for-16 shooting from the field. Allen has reached double figures in 14 out of 20 games this season.

The Lumberjacks broke a 21-21 tie in the first half and darted out to an 11-point advantage with two minutes to go in the half. Idaho fought back to cut the deficit to seven at the break, 42-35, and had it down to six early in the second half before NAU’s decisive 12-0 run put the visitors ahead 61-43 with 13:24 to play.

The Vandals host Southern Utah (9-10, 4-6 Big Sky) Monday in the Cowan Spectrum. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. PT
