Player Spotlight: Toppenish Wildcats Bree Peters (2023)
Today’s Player Spotlight goes to freshman guard, Bree Peters, from Toppenish High School in Toppenish, WA. She’s off to a hot start averaging 11.3 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, and helping the Wildcats to their first winning season in recent memory.
Peters has caught her stride, scoring in double figures in 8 of the last 10 games. She notched her career-high 18 points a week ago against Ephrata, along with a 17 point outing against undefeated and the #1 team in the State, Ellensburg High School.
The team currently stands 10-6 (9-5) with four games left in the Central WA Athletic Conference and fighting for second in the standings. The district tournament will be held at Central Washington Univ. and the Yakima Sundome.
