Today’s Player Spotlight goes to sophomore guard, Titus Yearout, from Lapwai High School in Idaho. The 6’2″ point guard plays well beyond his years and has proven he could play on the big stage.
Titus Yearout led Lapwai to its 15th straight win, scoring 24 points yesterday in a non-league matchup against Grangeville. Few days earlier, the sophomore point guard had a double-double 35 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and four steals against Troy.
As a freshman he averaged 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for the Wildcats, while helping them to 3rd place finish at the Idaho State Tournament. Yearout would make a name for himself on the big stage, scoring 36 points in the 3rd place game against the Valley Vikings.
Lapwai is tied with Potlatch for first place in the White Pine 1A Standings heading into post-season action. The 1A DI State Tournament will be held at Vallivue High School in Caldwell, ID on March 5th-7th.
