TRIBAL ATHLETES: NNU Holds On for Overtime Victory at MSUB
Northwest Nazarene men’s basketball and Montana State Billings went down to the wire on Thursday night, with the Nighthawks emerging with a 68-67 overtime victory to open GNAC play.
Tru Allen chipped in 13 points on 3-of-12 shooting, had four steals, and went 6-of-7 from the free throw line.
The Nighthawks snap a three-game slide with their second win of the season, improving to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in GNAC play. This is NNU’s first win in a GNAC opener since the 2018-19 season, when the Nighthawks defeated Seattle Pacific on the road to open conference play.
The Nighthawks continue their GNAC-opening road swing this Saturday in Seattle, taking on Seattle Pacific at 4:15 p.m. Pacific.
