Former Idaho Player of the Year Koyama Young finds Key Role for the Bigfoot

In her first season with the Spokane Community College women’s basketball team, the 5-9 freshman guard Koyama Young, was placed in a key role and led the Bigfoot with 14.2 points per game, 6.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals per outing.

She helped Spokane Falls finished the season 17-11 (6-10) this season earning NWAC All-Eastern Region 2nd team and Freshman of the year.

Koyama Young had a great high school career. Averaging 18.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.7 steals and 4.1 assists throughout her senior year. Young was named Idaho State Player of the year and a 3-time State Champion with the Lapwai Wildcats.
