Myka Taliman Inks with Mesa C.C.
Continuing to fill out her 2019-20 roster, Mesa Community College women’s basketball head coach Kori Stephenson announced the addition of Myka Taliman. The 5-foot-10 point guard from Page, Arizona is expected to have an immediate impact next season.
Myka is a multi-dimensional guard that had a tremendous high school career. She plays the game with a high IQ, has a fantastic mid-range game and can shoot the three. She’s tough, competitive and gets the players around her better.
Taliman capped off a stellar high school career by leading Page High School to back to back 3A AIA State Championships in Arizona. Taliman averaged 7.4 points, 2.6 assists, 4 rebounds, 2.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks for the Sand Devils while leading the team in assists, rebounds, blocks and steals.
The Mesa Thunderbirds are the first two-year college in the nation to participate in the Nike N7 initiative celebrating Native American Heritage Month. The N7 uniforms are turquoise with red, representing harmony, fellowship and friendship.
